Darklight
Fast Forward Film Festival
Winner of F.F.F.F. 2007 'How to walk a song' . The premise here is that a film must be shot, edited and soundtracked within 24 hours. In this video the protagonist discovers that everyday objects are emitting sounds that only he can hear. One punter described this work as "Beckett in your pocket".
Oud
Originally composed for Paul Regan
This work came from a discussion around performance and belief with artist Paul Regan (Talhiya Lapse). It was not used in the end but I liked it.
I became fascinated with the shadows playing on the surface of a shirt drying on the washing line in my garden. I wrote this music, inspired by that moment.
This music was recently licenced to Canola Films for a short movie based on Basking sharks around the coast of Ireland.
Snow
The Digital Hub Warehouse
This work focuses an animist eye on material drawn from the ether through the erratic convulsions of a dysfunctional TV set, as it reacts to the presence of humans. The sound and visuals were constantly evolving, never the same.
